Job Description

An excellent opportunity has become available for a talented Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team within the industrial sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and compliant project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical and instrumentation systems in line with project specifications and industry standards.

  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation equipment.

  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure system reliability and operational efficiency.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues effectively.

  • Ensure all work complies with South African safety regulations and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors, to achieve project objectives.

  • Support project planning and documentation, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to timelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering within an industrial environment.

  • Proven experience in PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation technologies.

  • Registration as a candidate with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) preferred.

  • Additional certifications in automation or instrumentation technologies advantageous.

  • Proficiency in design and simulation software.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
