Job Description
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our client’s manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain quality standards, ensure compliance with engineering and manufacturing processes, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions. You will support process improvement, manage QA documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate in-house electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, and systems procedures, standards, and specifications.
- Maintain engineering-aligned QA records and ensure manufacturing data availability.
- Ensure engineering and manufacturing processes consistently meet customer requirements.
- Coordinate and support on-site audits, evaluate findings, and implement corrective actions.
- Review the efficiency and implementation of quality and inspection systems.
- Act as catalyst for process improvement and enhanced machine performance.
- Manage document management systems and compile managerial and technical/engineering reports.
- Maintain effective customer relationships and address issues with high integrity.
- Operate within company controls and procedures to ensure compliance and risk management.
- Contribute to cost control, budget adherence, and waste minimization.
- Oversee Facilities Team daily tasks and coordinate outside support as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field (NQF 6); degree advantageous (NQF 7).
- Up to 5 years’ experience in quality engineering in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Quality Systems, Engineering Maintenance Systems, and compliance standards.
- Computer literacy (MS Office Suite and relevant QA/engineering software systems).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, planning, and organisational skills.
- Proactive, action-oriented, flexible, resilient, and customer-focused.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
