Job Description

The Business Analyst will collaborate with the Business and the IT Development team to develop work breakdown structures and ensure the quality of deliverables through guided questions and test cases.

Key responsibilities:

Proposal management:

  • Design, review, and edit requirements, specifications, business processes, and solution recommendations.
  • Conduct business interviews to define solutions aligned with requirements.
  • Develop and propose final solutions with draft costing for management sign-off.
  • Manage internal understanding and interpretation of proposed processes or changes.

Project management:

  • Register and document internal/external projects, including project charters and schedules.
  • Run kick-off meetings and manage internal/client project sign-offs and budgets.
  • Manage project scope changes.
  • Handle project-specific queries.
  • Oversee project execution, training, documentation (SOPs, manuals, sign-off documents), and handovers.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and manage scope changes.
  • Mentor junior staff and support growth into leadership roles.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (Degree in Information Sciences and Technology can be BSc, BCom, or B. Eng – Industrial).
  • Proven work experience as a Business Analyst, with full efficiency in the discipline.
  • Possess the ability to capture business needs in a structured and professional manner and relay them into documents that business, IT development, and clients can agree on and use as sign-off documents.
  • Some agile experience will be valuable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of the business process and systems development lifecycle.
  • Experience in user acceptance testing and test case design.
  • Some development experience can be an advantage
