Job Description

Redheads Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Draughtsman/Detailer to join our client, an engineering consulting firm, based in Centurion.
As a mid-career professional, you will play a crucial role in their engineering and design projects.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed structural drawings and designs using Autodesk suite of programs, including AutoCAD and Bim360.
  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Revit.
  • Apply knowledge of reinforcement steel and structural steel in the creation of accurate and comprehensive drawings.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and standards.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of structures, including concrete, steel, and timber.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Basic understanding of mathematics and physics.
  • Engineering/Draughting certificate or diploma.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk suite of programs, including AutoCAD (10+ years) and Bim360 (5+ years).
  • Non-negotiable proficiency in Revit (5+ years).
  • Strong knowledge of reinforcement steel and structural steel (Non-negotiable).
  • Basic understanding of structures, including concrete, steel, and timber.
