Job Description

Redheads Engineering is seeking a skilled and experienced Junior Structural Draughtsman/Detailer to join our client, an engineering consulting firm, based in Mbombela.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and detailed structural drawings using Autodesk suite of programs, including AutoCAD and Bim360.
• Essential proficiency in Revit.
• Apply knowledge of reinforcement steel and structural steel in the creation of precise and comprehensive drawings.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and standards.
• Develop and maintain a basic understanding of structures, including concrete, steel, and timber.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Basic understanding of mathematics and physics.
• Engineering/Draughting certificate or diploma.
• Proficiency in Autodesk suite of programs, including AutoCAD (5+ years) and Bim360 (3+ years).
• Non-negotiable proficiency in Revit (3+ years).
• Strong knowledge of reinforcement steel and structural steel (Non-negotiable).
• Basic understanding of structures, including concrete, steel, and timber.
