Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Buyer to join our procurement team. This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cost-effective procurement, supplier management, and project support within a dynamic construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement costs by securing competitive pricing within project budgets.
- Negotiate and manage supplier performance, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
- Place orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) and National Diploma in Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction procurement.
- Proficient in computer systems; Build Smart experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and no criminal record.
