Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Construction Supervisor to join a leading engineering projects team in the mining and industrial sector. The successful candidate will provide on-site EPCM project services, ensuring all EC&I construction and installation activities are executed in accordance with design specifications, client standards, and project timelines.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise all electrical and instrumentation construction activities on-site for assigned projects.
- Ensure that installations comply with design specifications, client standards, and applicable regulations.
- Facilitate quality control and assurance throughout the full project life cycle, including manufacturing, construction, testing, and commissioning.
- Conduct inspection and punching of all EC&I installations, ensuring compliance and readiness for commissioning.
- Oversee redlining of IFC drawings to reflect as-built conditions.
- Coordinate and manage access for follow-on trades in alignment with project schedules.
- Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Apply and oversee testing and commissioning procedures to maintain the highest quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including conducting and participating in risk assessments and CTAs.
Qualifications and experience:
- National Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years’ industrial experience in a mining or plant environment, with at least 3 years in an EC&I Construction Supervisor role.
- Strong knowledge of EC&I design, installation, and commissioning standards.
- Proven experience in supervising multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with project schedules and specifications.
- Training and experience in conducting risk assessments and CTAs.
- Valid EC1 driver’s license (Code 10).
